Gretchen Rossi, Slade Smiley Get Engaged In Los Angeles [Report]

The Real Housewives of Orange County star Gretchen Rossi and her boyfriend of four years are reportedly engaged to be married.

According to In Touch magazine, Rossi, 35, bucked tradition this past weekend when she popped the question in dramatic fashion in Los Angeles.

“She proposed to him on top of the AT&T building in LA,” a source close to the couple told In Touch. “She had him flown up there via helicopter.”

The sourced added that the proposal will be shown during a future episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County.

A rep for the show declined to comment on the report.

For fans of RHOC, Gretchen’s decision to propose may not be that big of a surprise, as the reality TV star previously has hinted that she was “over” waiting for Slade to propose.

“A guy doesn’t always have to do it [propose],” Rossie was previously quoted as saying. “He can still do it, but maybe I might, too. If he doesn’t do something soon, I might have to!”

Following their wedding, Gretchen said she plans to have a “boatload” of kids with Slade.

The marriage will be the first for Slade — who was only engaged to Jo De La Rosa until 2007 — and second for Gretchen, who was married to Chris Rossi until 2007.

After her divorce in 2007, Gretchen was briefly engaged to millionaire Jeff Beitzel, who was suffering from leukemia.

Jeff passed away shortly after filming ended in 2008.

In addition to planning a wedding, Gretchen has successfully been expanding her empire including handbags and cosmetics and just launched a swimwear collection last month.

Smiley, whose unemployment and debt was discussed on RHOC, recently landed a job as a radio host.
