‘NHL 14’ First Details, Trailer First Screenshot Hit The Web

NHL 14 is due to hit store shelves on September 10 in the United States and three days later across the pond. The game will be coming to the Microsoft Xbox 360 and the Sony Playstation 3.

Electronic Arts has had a rough spring so far, but the company is hoping that the rollout of their fall and winter sports games are going to start the turnaround.

Earlier this year NCAA Football 14 details were released. That game is working with in-game physics the likes of which haven’t been seen on current generation consoles before now.

FIFA 14 is being revealed today and while we won’t have a ton of information about that game until the big reveal, there does appear to be some features that will make the game just that much better than the current version of the game.

NHL 14 will be featuring the NHL Collision Physics that is actually based on the impact engine that is featured in the FIFA games. The game also has a brand new feature known as the Enforcer Engine that is based on the same fight engine that is in EA’s Fight Night series.

While hockey is well know for the way the players drop their gloves and square off in a fist fight, the game is really all about just how good a skater and shooter you are. That is why EA is also focusing on the skills that will allow you to win the game.

This is the second iteration of the game series that has the True Performance Skating engine that allows you to deke defenders out or their shoes.

The Be a Pro Career Mode is also back in this year’s game. The game will have you interacting with teammates, members of the media and fans off the ice as well as trying to play as well as you can on the ice in order to advance your character through his hockey career.
