Sony STR-DN1010 3D Compatible A/V Receiver Gets Spotted

The Sony STR-DN1010 3D A/V Receiver was spotted today and the system is just as impressive as the 3D units it will operate with.

The DN1010 offers 7.1 channel amp support with 110 watts of power per channel (@8-Ohms, 1kHz, 1% THD) and seven HD-capable inputs, specifically four HDMI ports and three component options.

The DN1010 also offers 1080/24p support with a 3D input and 3D capable display. According to SlashGear the system can even pass through video while crunching the soundtrack.

The device also offers 1080p upscaling via HDMI, wireless second-zone media playback and it runs on Sony’s S-Air technology. Although at this time no wireless transmitter or receiver is offered with the package so you’ll be ponying up more for that option and for available iPod and other Apple accessories.

The Sony STR-DN1010 will hit shelves in June 2010 for around $500. Now we just need to pony up the thousands of dollars required to grab one of the virtually useless (at this time) 3D systems.
