Gucci Mane Re-Arrested Within 24 Hours Of Being Released From Jail

Rapper Gucci Mane just can’t seem to stay out of jail.

Less than 24 hours after he was released on charges of assaulting a fan, the Atlanta-based hip hop artist was re-arrested for violating his parole.

Mane, whose real name is Radric Davis, was originally jailed March 26 after turning himself in to authorities in connection to an assault charge.

The trouble stemmed from an incident on March 16 in which the rapper allegedly struck a military veteran with a champagne bottle at the Harlem Nights Club in Atlanta.

As reported earlier by The Inquisitr, the victim, a soldier named James Lettley, approached a security guard and asked if Gucci Mane would pose for a photo; instead, the fan claims, he received a “severe laceration to the top of his head” which required 10 stitches.

Following the attack, Mane spent two weeks behind bars as he awaited a court decision.

After initially denying Gucci Mane bail in the Lettley assault case, the judge changed his mind and the rapper was granted bail at $75,000.

According to TMZ, Mane posted the bond on Friday only to be picked up on Saturday for a probation violation unrelated to the assault arrest. No word yet on what his new bail will be set at.

Gucci Mane, most known for his 2005 hit song Icy, is no stranger to run ins with the law.

Besides multiple arrests for assaults and probation violations, the rapper has been jailed for murder, drug offenses, and reckless driving.

In 2011, a Georgia judge sentenced Gucci Mane to six months in jail after he admitted to pushing a woman out of his car.
