Lindsey Vonn Shows Up At The Masters To Support Boyfriend Tiger Woods

Lindsey Vonn has been spotted at the Masters, ready to support her boyfriend Tiger Woods as he goes for his 15th major.

The Olympic ski champion was seen waiting for a table on the Augusta National Golf Club veranda as Tiger took some warm-up swings before his 10:45 am tee time.

Vonn was there to cheer Tiger on, but her recently reconstructed right knee would keep her far from the action at the Masters. Vonn said she planned to watch the first hole but stay in the clubhouse the rest of the time.

“I can’t really walk too much,” Vonn said. “And it’s so hilly here.”

Vonn tore two ligaments in her right knee during a violent crash in February. She underwent surgery two weeks after the injury and hopes to recover in time to compete at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi.

Lindsey Vonn, who said she had never been to the Masters before, noted a few differences between her chosen sport and her boyfriend’s.

“Very different from a ski race,” Vonn said.

It was a rare public appearance for Lindsey Vonn and Tiger Woods. Other than her Facebook message announcing the relationship, Vonn hasn’t spoken too much about her relationship with Tiger and the two have stayed out the limelight.

“I don’t plan on addressing this further as I would like to keep that part of my life between us, my family and close friends,” the 28-year-old Vonn wrote in her post. “Thank you for understanding and your continued support! xo LV”

Woods, who was divorced from wife Elin Nordegren after his public cheating scandal erupted in 2009, reportedly met Vonn when she gave skiing lessons to his kids, Sam and Charlie.

Lindsey Vonn isn’t the only famous girlfriend cheering on her man at the Masters. Rory McIlroy has the support of his girlfriend, former No. 1 tennis player Caroline Wozniacki.
