Rick Pitino To Get Louisville Cardinal Tattoo

It’s been a big week for Rick Pitino. He found out that he’ll be inducted into the hall of fame, he won the NCAA basketball championship, and now he’s going to get a tattoo of the Louisville Cardinal.

Pitino told his players earlier this season that he’d get a tattoo if the Cardinals won the NCAA championship. Now that the Cardinals have accomplished the goal, Pitino said that he’d stay true to his word and get a tattoo.

When the deal was made, Pitino didn’t specify what type of tattoo he’d get.

Junior Luke Hancock said: “We have a couple ideas. I don’t think he knew what he was getting into when he signed up for that one.”

Pitino told CBS this morning that he’ll be getting a tattoo of the Louisville Cardinal on his shoulder with the words “2013 Champions.”

Pitino said: “I said it … not believing this was going to be a reality but I am going to get it. I’m a man of my word. I’m going to get it on my left shoulder … It will be a cardinal and it will say 2013 champions.”
