Thought Convergence Acquires Name Intelligence

Thought Convergence has acquired Name Intelligence, the company behind the highly regarded DomainTools service and the Domain Roundtable conference.

Los Angeles based Thought Convergence offers a range of domain management, monetization and development tools, through services includes Ideas.net and TrafficZ.

DomainTools (once known as Whois.cc) providers a range of domain monitoring and research services, and was recently added as the official Whois look up service for Google (type whois domainname.com into Google to demonstrate).

Congrats to Jay Westerdal and the Name Intelligence team: it’s a great service and hopefully it will continue to grow under the new owners.

The price of the acquisition was not disclosed.
