Adele Enters Studio To Record Follow-Up To ’21’

Adele is reportedly back in the studio working on the follow-up to her monstrous hit, 21.

The Sun has stated that the singer is currently hard at work on new songs and that she is collaborating with producers James Ford and Kid Harpoon. This will be the first occasion that she has recorded new music since October.

Ford and Harpoon have worked alongside some of the most recognised artists in British music, helping to orchestrate the sounds of Arctic Monkey’s Humbug, and Florence and the Machine’s, Lungs, and, Ceremonials.

A source told the British tabloid, “Adele wants to move with the times and is trying to make her new record sound as edgy as possible. The team she’s assembled is first rate and she’s confident they can help match the success of her first two albums. It’s no easy taks as the world will be desperate to hear it.”

Recently the London born songstress has been linked with a collaboration with Take That star Robbie Williams. Previously Adele had noted her admiration for Williams, stating in 2009, “I’m not into doing collaborations. I love to sing with people live rather than on record. If I could do one with anyone – Robbie? Any day.”

It had been thought that Adele wouldn’t release any new music for quite some time. Last month she stated that she would only make a new record when she had “something to sing about.”

She was asked about eager fans anticipation over her new music to which she responded, “Tell me about it, so am I. They’ll come when they’re ready, and when I’ve got something to sing about.”

Meanwhile, her record label, XL Recordings, also stated last year that they didn’t expect her to release another album “for some years.”
