Ryan O’Neal: I Cheated On Farrah Fawcett

Ryan O’Neal admitted this week that he once cheated on his wife, Farrah Fawcett.

Why did O’Neal admit his infidelity? Well, the actor is currently in a legal battle with the University of Texas over a painting of Farrah Fawcett.

O’Neal was being questioned about his 18-year romance with the Charlie’s Angels star and was forced to admit that he had an affair.

In a videotaped deposition, O’Neal said that Fawcett once caught him in bed with another woman. O’Neal said that he had a physical relationship with actress Leslie Stefanson while he was married to Fawcett.

The University and O’Neal are currently arguing over an Andy Warhol painting of Fawcett.

The University claims that the actress left it to the institution after she died. O’Neal, however, says that the painting belongs to him.

The actor said that Fawcett didn’t leave him much in her will but said that the painting was never Fawcett’s to give away.

O’Neal said that after his relationship with Fawcett ended the painting stayed at his home. The actor even tried to return the painting but Fawcett told him to keep it because it made O’Neal’s current girlfriend uncomfortable.

O’Neal said: “The reason I gave it to her is because there was a new woman in my life and the painting was making her uncomfortable; that Farrah seemed to be staring down at her. And so I said, ‘Well, I can fix that.’ I took it to Farrah and said, ‘Keep this for me. I’ll be back.’ (Farrah) replied: ‘I don’t want it because I like it that she’s uncomfortable.’

O’Neal said that he’s fighting for the painting because he believes that Fawcett would have wanted it to go to her son, Redmond.
