Casey Kasem Mansion Goes Up For Sale

Casey Kasem’s Los Angeles mansion is going up for sale.

The radio legend and his wife, Jean, have put their seven bedroom estate on the market for $42 million.

According to the Huffington Post, Kasem’s mansion features seven bedrooms, 11.5 baths, a library, a bar, a hair salon, and a heart shaped pool.

The real estate blog Red Fin writes: “The estate spans 12,000 square feet and has seven bedrooms and 11.5 baths … It includes a library, bar, two master suites with hair salon and dressing areas, and a service wing with laundry facilities. The interior is adorned with European-style art and antique furniture. Outside, there’s a heart-shaped pool, tennis court and guest house.”

Kasem purchased the house in 1989 for $1,725,000. The radio legend retired in 2009 and is now 80-years-old. Jean Kasem told Radar Online that they plan to move somewhere along the beach.

Kasem was one of the founders of the American Top 40 franchise in the 1970s and continued hosting radio programs like Casey’s Top 40 and Casey’s Countdown until 2009. The radio personality retired a few years ago, but he still occasionally lands his voice to the character Colton Rogers on Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated.

Of course, Casey Kasem is most famous for making a cameo on Saved By The Bell.
