‘Grown Ups 2’ Trailer Debuts Online [Video]

Growns Up 2 Adam Sandler Sequel

The trailer for the upcoming ensemble comedy Grown Ups 2 has arrived online.

The Dennis Dugan-directed sequel reunites several of the familiar faces from 2010 flick Grown Ups for yet another go-around.

The latest installment in the series finds Lenny (Adam Sandler) moving back to his hometown. Once the family gets settled in, a number of crazy shenanigans soon begin.

In addition to being forced to jump into a lake without this clothes on, Sandler gets peed on by an animal that somehow finds its way into his bedroom. There’s also a scene where a naked Kevin James jumps onto a nude David Spade. All of this stuff can be found in the trailer below.

Grown Ups 2 also finds the gang squaring off against a group of young frat guys that have essentially taken over the gang’s old stomping grounds. Leading the pack is Twilight alum Taylor Lautner. He appears towards the end of the embedded clip.

Shaquille O’Neal, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Andy Samberg, and several former Saturday Night Live cast members also appear in the sequel.

The original Grown Ups proved to be a box office hit for Happy Madison and Sony Pictures. The $80 million all-star comedy ended its theatrical run in the US with around $162 million in ticket sales. Foreign receipts were strong as well; the movie made approximately $109 million overseas.

Given the success of the first entry in the series, it’s not altogether surprising that Adam Sandler and company have reunited for a sequel. The film is currently slated to arrive in theaters during the extremely busy summer movie season.

Although Sandler has stumbled at the box office with his recent offerings, the guy continues to churn out films. The Billy Madison star is slated to reunite with Drew Barrymore for an upcoming romantic comedy. Sandler will also appear in the western Ridiculous 6.

The trailer for the comedian’s next flick has been embedded below.

Grown Ups 2 stars Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, Salma Hayek, Maya Rudolph, Maria Bello, and Nick Swardson, among many others. The movie will hit theaters in the US on July 12. Are you looking forward to the sequel?
