Holly Sonders To Appear On Cover Of ‘Golf Digest’ In May Fitness Issue

Holly Sonders will be showing off her fit body on the cover of Golf Digest in May for what is being billed as a feature on getting into the best golfing shape.

Sonders, who appears on The Golf Channel’s Morning Drive, will show what kind of workout she uses for staying in peak playing condition. The issue will feature 35 pages on how readers can get into good shape themselves.

Holly Sonders describes herself as a “3 or 4” handicap golfer, and has some experience in that area. Before becoming a broadcaster, she was on the golf team at Michigan State. She still works for the Big Ten network and has a job at KATV in Little Rock, Arkansas, as well.

Sonders has been the subject of a bit of controversy due to her looks. When she joined Morning Drive, the hosts sat behind a desk but she was seated away from them on a stool and usually wearing short dresses and heels.

Some people believed this was objectifying Holly Sonders because of her looks, though she didn’t see it that way.

“Some people would comment, ‘You’re objectifying her.’ There was just no other place to put me, honestly,” she said. “The cameras were in the wall. I dress the way I dress because style is very important to me. I love being a girl. You can be a pit-bull competitor. You can want to kick people’s asses in every sport, but you can still be feminine and still be sexy.”

The issue with Holly Sonders on the cover will also feature advice from Rickie Fowler and Mark Wahlberg.

Holly Sonders will be paired with another hot golfer in the issue — Jason Dufner. While she is known more for her good looks and fit body, Dufner has gained fame because of an accidental photo-op.

Dufner was appearing at a youth center in Irving, Texas as part of a promotion for the 2013 Byron Nelson Championship when he was filmed slouching against a wall. The photo went viral, with many fans copying the pose that became known as “Dufnering.”

It’s unclear if Dufner will be offering fitness advice alongside Sonders or teaching golfers how to relax against a wall after a long round.
