‘Evil Dead’ Remake Drops A New Terrifying TV Spot [Video]

A new TV spot for the upcoming Evil Dead remake has arrived online.

The latest promotional spot is slated to air during the season finale of The Walking Dead. However, the clip has arrived online for those who can’t wait to check it out.

In addition to showcasing some terrifying moments from Evil Dead, the clip features an introduction by director Fede Alvarez and Bruce Campbell.

Campbell, who serves as a producer on the upcoming horror flick, said that he is very concerned about what fans think of the updated version of the classic movie.

He explained to The New York Times:

“These are the original producers making this movie, not some fat slob producer looking for a cheap property to get their hands on. I am far more concerned with this being a good movie than the fans are. I spent the last few months working with the director and producers to make sure this movie meets or exceeds their expectations.”

The Evil Dead alum is expected to make a brief cameo in the forthcoming remake. However, what role he plays in the film has been kept a secret.

Here’s the official synopsis for the movie:

“In the much anticipated remake of the 1981 cult-hit horror film, five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.”

If you can’t wait until Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead to see the latest TV spot for the remake, then you can feast your eyes on the terror below.

Director Fede Alvarez’s Evil Dead remake stars Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Lou Taylor Pucci, Jessica Lucas, and Elizabeth Blackmore. The film is set to terrify audiences on April 5. Are you looking forward to the remake?
