Anna Chlumsky Pregnant: ‘My Girl’ Star Expecting First Child With Husband Shaun So

Congratulations are in order for My Girl star Anna Chlumsky and her husband Shaun So.

According to People magazine, the 32-year-old actress is pregnant with her first child.

“I’m feeling pretty good so far,” said Chulumsky, who is best remembered for playing tomboy Vada Sultenfuss in the 1991 movie My Girl and the 1994 sequel My Girl 2. “I was really lucky – I did not have any morning sickness, which was great because I was working.”

In preparation for their new arrival, Chlumsky and So told People they are spending a large portion of their time setting up the baby’s nursery as well as digesting a boatload of parenting books.

“I’m being judicious with which books I read because I don’t want to get overwhelmed,” Chlumsky said. “Most of the books have to do with how to have a worry-free pregnancy and keep the anxiety down.”

The couple, who married in 2008, are looking forward to welcoming their bundle of joy later this year. Though they have confirmed the pregnancy, Anna and Shaun have not yet revealed the gender of the baby.

In addition to taking care of her baby bump, Chlumsky has been busy working on the HBO comedy series Veep.

The show, which also stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Seinfeld), centers around a fictional Vice President of the United States who discovers her job is nothing like she expected and everything everyone ever warned about.

Chlumsky previously said she almost quit acting after her My Girl success, but gave it another shot after a random encounter with a psychic changed her mind.

The second season of Veep bows April 14. Check out a trailer for the upcoming season below:
