‘Transformers 4’ Leading Lady Found, Actress Nicola Peltz Joins Franchise

There was a time in the Transformers franchise where it didn’t look like we would ever see a Transformers 4. Shia LaBeouf was mouthing off about the next Transformers film, Megan Fox was fired and replaced in a lackluster sequel, and Mark Wahlberg was just a pesky rumor.

Now we know for certain that Wahlberg is leading off the sequel, the question came who would hopefully rise to Megan Fox’s status since Rosie Huntington-Whiteley failed to impress. Fox, who was launched into an immediate limiting box of sex appeal was completely transformed into box office buzz by appearing in the Transformers films. Now we have our answer, and it looks like Michael Bay finally got the leading lady he was looking for in newcomer Nicola Peltz.

The series is said to be in a completely new direction now that Wahlberg is on board and both leading stars of the other Transformers films are out. Actress Nicola Peltz will join Mark Wahlberg in this new non-reboot of Transformers. If she looks familiar it’s because she was in M. Night Shyamalan’s film The Last Airbender, and presently she can be seen in the hit television series Bates Motel.

As we reported Michael Bay faced the challenge of casting another “Megan Fox-type.” This of course was after Fox got herself fired from the Transformers franchise after using anti semitic remarks when she compared Michael Bay to Hitler. In a British magazine Wonderland, right before filming began on Transformers 3, Fox said:
“He’s like Napoleon and he wants to create this insane, infamous madman reputation. He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is. So he’s a nightmare to work for.”

With that Bay said producer Steven Speilberg was the person to pull the plug on Fox and told him to fire her “right now.”

Hopefully newcomer Nicola Peltz has learned from the errors of the past female leads of Transformers. Nicola Peltz will join Michael Bay when filming begins this summer. Also said to join in some capacity is actor Josh Duhamel, despite Bay shooting for a younger audience this time around.
