Showtime has renewed drama series Dexter for two more seasons.

The show based around a serial killing forensic detective has become a cult favorite globally, regularly being featured in top five shows downloaded from BitTorrent each week.

Currently in its third season, Dexter has a weekly television audience in the United States of around 3 million people per episode.
