One Direction Louis Tomlinson’s Twitter Rage Over Estranged Father Interview

One Direction star Louis Tomlinson has blasted British newspaper the Sunday Mirror after the publication published an interview with his estranged father on Sunday.

Responding to the Sunday Mirrorarticle in which the singer’s father Troy Austin claimed he wanted to reconcile with his son but hadn’t been allowed to, Tomlinson tweeted a furious message to his nearly 10 million followers.

“I’d like to start off the day by saying a big f**k you to ‘the mirror,’ on a happier note huge love to all out fans, you keep us going!!,” the 21-year-old wrote on his account.

The Daily Mailreports that the “Kiss You” singer’s father separated from Louis’ mother when he was just two-years-old.

Austin also revealed that he recently took Tomlinson’s half-sister Georgia to see the band perform during the Nottingham leg of One Direction’s tour.

“Seeing Louis on that stage was amazing. He’s in the ­biggest band in the world and I’m the proudest dad in the world. I just hope he knows it,’ said Troy.

According to the 44-year-old, when he tried to see his son backstage after the show, he was told that it wouldn’t be possible.

“It was a shame we couldn’t see Louis and tell him how brilliant he was,” Austin added. “But I know he and the rest of the lads are really busy. Georgia was gutted – she’s his half-sister after all.’He knows we were in the crowd and now I want to tell him what it meant to me to see him up there. I cried buckets.”

Clearly Tomlinson isn’t impressed or moved by his estranged father’s decision to share family secrets with the international press.

However, he did follow up his furious tweet with a thank you message to the band’s fans for their recent 2013 Kids’ Choice Awards wins.

The British-Irish boyband beat out Bon Jovi and Maroon 5 to take the Favorite Music Group Award. Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Liam Payne also won the Favorite Song Award for their 2011 debut single “What Makes You Beautiful.”

The band were no-shows at Saturday’s KCA’s held at the Galen Center in Los Angeles due to touring.
