Jolie-Pitt reps claim split rumors false

A British tabloid story claiming papers were filed to dissolve the relationship of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt is being dismissed by reps for the pair.

Jolie, 34, and Pitt, 36, have never married, but the UK’s News of the World- in a piece cleverly titled “Brad Split”- claim the Jolie-Pitts have filed a “£205 million split deal.” The Brit rag goes on to say the couple have filed “dynamite legal papers” to divvy their cash money and have formulated a plan to “SHARE their children,” since British tabloids have a love affair with RANDOMLY capitalizing entire WORDS.

Calling the allegedly impending break-up “clear it’s a case of when they break up rather than if,” the piece goes on to quote Jolie’s controversial and headling-grabbing comments about fidelity made to a German magazine last year:

“Neither Brad nor I have ever claimed that living together means to be chained together. We make sure that we never restrict each other.

“I doubt that fidelity is absolutely essential for a relationship. It’s worse to leave your partner and talk badly about him afterwards.”

However, reps for the pair say the tale is untrue. Although it wouldn’t be the first time Jolie and Pitt have skirted the truth (the couple categorically denied their relationship while Pitt distanced himself from former girlfriend Jennifer Aniston), reps were quoted as saying the story is “totally false.”
