Obamacare ‘Kills’ People, Says Michele Bachman [Video]

Michele Bachmann and Dana Bash

Michele Bachmann urged members of the House to repeal President Barack Obama’s health care law today saying that Obamacare “literally kills” people.

Bachman argued that Obamacare makes people “pay more and get less” and said that it doesn’t provide adequate coverage from women, children, and senior citizens.

Bachmann said: “The American people, especially vulnerable women, vulnerable children, and vulnerable senior citizens, now get to pay more and get less. That’s why we’re here. Let’s repeal this failure before it literally kills women, kills children, kills senior citizens.”

Bachmann said that Affordable Health Care Act requires employers to provide health insurance to their employees but not to their families and would leave many women without coverage. It would also, according to Bachmann, make it harder for women to buy their own insurance.

Bachmann said: “Where are poor women supposed to go to buy health insurance they can afford? Not in the ObamaCare regime … Where is she supposed to go when her very sick child has lost his health insurance from the employer that his daddy provided for him because his daddy had a job, his daddy had health insurance?”

Here’s a video of Michelle Bachmann speaking on the House floor. Do you think Obamacare will “literally” kill people?

Bachmann was one of many Republicans who spoke on the floor today to mark the third anniversary of of the Affordable Care Act. Republicans have been trying to repeal the bill since it was signed into law in March of 2010.

This is the second this week that Bachmann made the news for making controversial statements. Bachmann led a reporter on a “high speed high-heel” chase yesterday after she made controversial comments about President Obama’s lavish lifestyle.

I wish we had some doctors come to our area that would stay and work five days a week, so far that hasn't happened and this is why our health care is already doing this to my family.

Repeal Obamacare! I for one know it won't help ME at ALL! While I CAN go see a Western Medical Doctor, I can't take the DRUGS they DEAL. I have to take NATURAL medicines which I found out recently OBAMA can target ME as a TERRORIST for researching these medicines that help ME. What the HELL? I'm not going to be in PAIN or DIE because he's on a tyranical tirade!

No, she's right. I am a woman. I work. I cannot afford health insurance. My employers call me an "independent contractor" so that I get nothing. Though I still have a boss and still must attend all meetings like a regular employee. So I looked into insurance for myself and it cost 300+ per month and I must pay a $1700 deductable before I can even use it. A friend of mine bought the insurance and she could not afford to use it when having a stroke bc she was afraid of the deductible. Thank God, she somehow survived.

The deductable and copays and other fees are so high that I am going without insurance and will just get on a payment plann for a hospital if something does go wrong. I figure at least the money is going for the service provided. Whereas if I buy insurance, the insurance company collects $300 from me monthly for nothing. They will not begin to pay until the deductible is met and then they will only pay a percentage of the bill. Also doctors have different pay scales for those who have insurance and those who do not. It is considerably cheaper for those who do not have insurance. You are also given free samples/medical equiptment. So, I will be forced to pay $200 more in taxes but that is considerably less than being forced to pay for monthly insurance that does not pay for anything unless a disaster occurs and then I am sure they will label it a "prexisting condition" to get out of paying anyway.

The poor have Welfare insurance. The rich get insurance free from their work or are able to buy it. It is the middle class like me who are doing without insurance.

Batsh#t Bachman being on the Intelligence Committee scares me. But, I will say she makes a damn good arguement for this country to have Universal Healthcare. She has the finest healthcare the taxpayer can buy. So should we!
