Miranda Lambert Allegedly Threatens To Punch Store Owner

Country music singer Miranda Lambert has been accused of threatening to punch a shop owner in Oklahoma.

The Nashville Star winner was visiting an antique shop near her business in Tishomingo when the incident allegedly took place. Lambert was apparently quite unhappy when the store owner acquired retail space Miranda was interested in purchasing.

Melanie Peden said the singer was very unhappy about the situation. During her confrontation with Lambert, Peden said she was threatened with physical harm.

“She had a complete meltdown and threatened to ‘punch me in the mouth’ if I kept talking,” she explained to The National Enquirer.

The antique store owner added, “I was stunned and a little bit scared too, because she was growling and yelling at me like a crazy lady. She’s got a real anger problem and needs help. But I stood my ground and asked her to leave my store.”

Peden said she filed a police complaint against the singer over the confrontation.

Although stories printed by The National Enquirer should be taken with a grain of salt, authorities are reportedly investigating the threat. Police have yet to discuss the matter with Miranda Lambert as of this writing.

Peden said Lambert had previously been interested in acquiring the property that currently houses the antique shop. Although the owner knew Miranda had previously expressed interest in the space, she didn’t know she was actively pursuing it.
