Pink Interrupts Concert To Comfort Crying Child [Video]

News flash: Pink is pretty awesome. Whether she’s talking about her militant public breastfeeding beliefs or handing out Rice Krispie treats at her concerts, the eclectic singer-songwriter is always entertaining and sometimes poignantly touching.

Case in point: During a concert in Philadelphia over the weekend, Pink brought her set to a stop when she spotted a little girl crying in the audience. Right in the middle of an acoustic version of her hit song “Who Knew,” Pink stopped the performance.

“Hey, hold on one second. Hold on, time out. Is everything okay right here? Is this little girl alright? What’s going on? Why is she crying, why is she upset?” Pink asked.

Someone in the crowd apparently responded that a fight had broken out in the crowd.

“There was a fight? Y’all are fighting around a little girl?” Pink asked incredulously, before joking “I know, I’m from here,” eliciting laughter from the crowd.

Pink then stood up from her stool and approached the edge of the stage, bearing gifts for the little girl.

“Honey? Do you want this frog? Will this frog and this Rice Krispie treat make you feel better?” Pink asked, with a toy frog and Rice Krispie in her extended hand. “First of all, you look beautiful,” she said. “[And] Rice Krispies treats fix everything.”

The crowd applauded Pink’s simple act of kindness.

You might be wondering, “Why the heck does Pink have Rice Krispie treats?” Believe it or not, they were brought to the show by Pink’s mom, Judy Moore. She handed out the home-baked treats to people backstage at the Wells Fargo Center Sunday, and Pink shared some of them with her front-row fans.
