The Hangover Picks Up Best Picture Musical or Comedy Golden Globe

In a victory for drinkers the world over, The Hangover has tonight won the Golden Globe for the Best Picture Musical or Comedy.

The upstart picture featuring a then relatively unknown cast was a surprise box office hit in 2009, taking $459 million off a budget of $35 million.

The Hangover was directed by Todd Phillips, co-written by Jon Lucas and produced by Phillips and Daniel Goldberg. The film was produced by Legendary Pictures for Warner Bros. Pictures. It stars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Justin Bartha, and Heather Graham.

Winners of the Best Picture Musical or Comedy Golden Globes aren’t a good measure for the Academy Awards, however with the award expect The Hangover to at least get a remote look in.

The reason I really liked this movie so much was mainly thanks to it’s impressive mixture of intelligence and stupidity. Galiadfianakis steals the show as Alan and most of his comments are the funniest of the entire film although to explain them out of context would simply leave them looking flat and unfunny.cheap holidays to florida

  2. I’ve decided to change my position. If the Golden Globe Award given for the movie The Hangover brings tourists back to Las Vegas, then, it’s the greatest movie of all time!
