Capcom And Valve Team Up With Crossover PC Titles

Capcom and Valve are teaming up for a PC-only crossover.

The crossover project will be between the games Resident Evil 6 and Left 4 Dead 2. An announcement today revealed that characters from Valve’s Left 4 Dead 2 will be in the PC version of Resident Evil 6, and enemies from Resident Evil 6 will be in the PC version of Left 4 Dead 2.

This isn’t the first time Resident Evil characters had a crossover in another game. Marvel vs Capcom 3 and its upgrade Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 had Nemesis T-type, Albert Wesker and Chris Redfield from the get-go. Yes, there were plenty of awkward crossovers in that videogame.

Left 4 Dead 2 characters being added to the PC version of Capcom’s Resident Evil 6 are the four survivors (Coach, Nick, Ellis and Rochelle) as well as the Witch and a miniature version of the Tank. Just a little advice for anyone planning to play that game; if you hear crying, get ready to shoot. The added characters will be in the PC-exclusive mode The Mercenaries No Mercy. The Left 4 Dead 2 content will be available in the PC version of Resident Evil 6 beginning on April 5.

Resident Evil 6 characters being added to the PC version of Valve‘s Left 4 Dead 2 are Lepotitsa, Napad and Ogroman. If you must fight the Lepotitsa, do so from a distance or become a target for your team (it exhales the virus that mutated it). The Windows PC version of Resident Evil 6 with Valve’s content will see a March 22 release.

Valve’s Chet Faliszek says, “We’re huge Resident Evil fans, so when the opportunity arose to work directly with Capcom to combine L4D2 and RE6, we jumped at it.”

Capcoms’s Resident Evil 6 producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi adds, “The Resident Evil 6 team really enjoyed working on this crossover, and we’re confident that our fans will have a great time with it too! We hope you enjoy this unique content.”

Now all we need is Slender Man to appear in a future Silent Hill game and our horror game crossovers should be complete.
