What do Charlie Sheen, Molly Shannon, Terry Crews, Lindsay Lohan, Heather Locklear, Kate Walsh, and Mike Tyson all have in common? All of these celebrities somehow have found themselves in Scary Movie 5.
The second trailer for Scary Movie 5 was released today and it certainly looks like a doozy. Depending on how you define doozy that might be a good thing or a band thing. The trailer features all the usual harmless gags that make fun of the top grossing horror films in a storyline that interconnects a dozen or so characters to one another.
The trailer runs through typical phrases like: “Some books should never be read.” “Some moments should never be taped.” “Some doors should never be opened.” Unfortunately they left out, some movies should never be made, and that seems to be the case for Scary Movie 5, but perhaps we’re a little premature in thinking that.
“In the film, snooty, aloof, imperious, and oversexed French dance company director Pierre is putting on a new production. Jody (Tisdale), a Caucasian late-20s mother of two and her late-20s African American friend Kendra (Ash) are both vying for the lead in the production. Jody’s extremely controlling former dancer mother is determined that Jody will have the brilliant career that eluded her. The highly skilled mid-30s Diva veteran dancer with the company, Heather Daltry (Shannon), gets cut from the production and goes berserk.”
One highlight from the second trailer is Katt Williams, who comically plays a spirit guide, but really just ends up being the guy who ransacks an innocent but naive couple’s home. Other highlights include the cameos by Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan, and the random appearance of Darrell Hammond.
Will you be seeing Scary Movie 5 in the the theaters? The film drops April 12.
