‘The Stooge’ Remake Gets New Promotional Artwork [Photo]

The Stooge remake starring Mickey Mouse and Roger Rabbit has received some new promotional artwork.

The image you see below was designed by Douglas Sirois. The artist stated that work is currently underway for Disney’s remake of the classic 1952 comedy starring Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis.

“The Stooge has a treatment and we have a few writers brainstorming. We are developing more concept art. We have two directors interested and are actively looking for a Disney producer to take it to the next level,” Sirois explained to Aint It Cool News.

He added, ” It is a great concept and a ton of fun developing. We also have been working with Gary K. Wolf on some Roger Rabbit short animation concepts that will also grab more attention and celebrate the 25th anniversary of the character this year!”

Roger Rabbit creator Gary K. Wolf previously stated that the remake of The Stooge is not connected to do with the Who Framed Roger Rabbit sequel that’s starting to take shape at Disney.

“This movie, which will be all animated, has nothing to do with the sequel to ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit.’ They are totally different concepts and projects. It’s not a case of making one instead of the other. In an ideal, rabbit-centric world, Disney will make both,” Wolf said.

Charles Fleischer, the actor who gave Roger Rabbit his unique voice, is definitely excited about the possibility of revisiting the character once again.

“If it were within my decision-making capacity, I would more than love to do more with Roger [Rabbit]. I think there’s a lot of people that would, too and that leads me to believe that it could happen,” he told ComingSoon during a recent interview.

The artwork for the proposed animated remake has been included below.

Although Gary Wolf and Disney are currently in the process of putting the project together, it’s currently unknown when or if The Stooge remake will arrive in theaters.
