‘Call of Duty: Black Ops 2’ Gets Patch, Microtransactions

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is going to start introducing Microtransactions to the game on Wednesday. The military style action game also got a patch today that fixes a few flaws and makes minor tweaks here and there. The developers of the ultra-popular game are drawing attention to the patch that was released today, but it is the addition of the Microtransactions coming tomorrow that is the really big news.

Most of the tweaks and improvements to the game that were released today have to do with making the reactions of the characters in Black Ops 2 that much more realistic. Among those tweaks was making the recoil when firing a weapon like the MSMC.

The accuracy when these weapons are fired have also been tweaked to be a bit more realistic. Features like background downloading and being able to view past seasons of any leagues you’ve played in have also been added into the game.

It is the Microtransactions that are coming tomorrow that will change the game in a totally different way. Microtransactions have been an ever growing part of the video gaming, especially when talking about mobile gaming. These features are making their way into console gaming at a slower but steady pace.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Microtransactions will include the ability to get a Personalization Pack, Extra Slot Packs, and Flags of the World Calling Cards packs. The Personalization Packs will allow you to dress up your weapon with coloring and camo of your choice while also adding new scopes. Each of those packs will cost $2.00.

The Extra Slots pack will allow games to purchase 10 more “create-a-class” slots and Flags of the World Calling cards allow gamers to purchase calling cards with their favorite flags emblazened on them. The extra slot packs cost $2.00 and the Flags of the World cost about $1.00.

Will you be buying any Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 packs through their new Microtransactions?
