Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles will be back for the second half of its second season, after being renewed by Fox.
The show debuted in January to strong ratings, but was under threat after lower ratings for its second season, which debuted in early September.
Fox has ordered 9 more episodes to be shown in the first half of next year on the basis that Fox shows do better while American Idol is on air, and the network believes it can grow the shows audience, according to Reuters.
The spin-off from the Terminator movie series has a die-hard following among some sci-fi fans.

That's a pretty sweet promo pic – but then I'm a sucker for shotguns ;¬)
I've been meaning to watch this, but my viewing habits these days revolve around seasons not episodes. I'd rather watch a string of them together than each individually, much like with Lost or Heroes. I like closure :¬P
