‘Deadpool’ Game Gets New Trailer [Video]

Deadpool may not be coming to store shelves for quite a while, but that doesn’t mean the game can’t get a new trailer. The new video shows more detail of the gameplay than we’ve previously gotten to see while also doing a pretty good job at embodying the irreverence that has made the title character such a popular Anti-hero.

The Marvel Comics “Merc with a Mouth” has gotten an almost cult like following thanks to his constant battles with the Marvel Universe’s most powerful heroes and villains. High Moon Studios just recently put out the trailer, which shows the the mercenary using his guns, his swords and his fourth-wall breaking narrative that has made him famous.

Deadpool even claims that he was the one who actually put the trailer together. The game will have much the same elements as any other Superhero game we’ve seen over the last few years, though as the trailer point illustrates, it appears there will be quite a bit more blood and violence.

Voice actor Nolan North will be voicing the title character, a role he has previously filled in Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, and the Hulk vs. animated television show.

It was a good move for High Moon to get someone familiar with the character, especially since Sean Miller recently had an interview with Digital Spy in which he said that comedic writing was about as difficult as it gets for a project like this.

While High Moon has yet to announce an official release date for the game, most expect it to hit store shelves sometime this summer.

Once the game does hit it will be made available for the Microsoft Xbox 360 and the Sony Playstation 3.

Check out the video below and see if Deadpool looks like a game that might be right up your alley.
