Lisa Ling’s Baby Girl Jett Is Born

Lisa Ling’s baby girl was born on Friday, weighing in at six pounds and six ounces. Ling, the host of Our America on OWN, welcomed the girl, Jett, with husband Dr. Paul Song.

Jett Ling Song came into the world at 1:24 pm at a hospital in Santa Monica, California. OWN announced the happy news, saying:

“Lisa and Jett are resting comfortably. The proud parents are enjoying the first day of parenthood and are looking forward to bringing their daughter home.”

Lisa Ling, also a former co-host on The View, announced her pregnancy during an interview with Anderson Cooper. She showed him her sonogram on Anderson Live as a way of announcing her first child. She joked, “I was trying to keep it quiet for a long time, but now I’m getting to a point where I just look like I have a beer belly.”

But Lisa definitely did not look like she had a beer belly. Throughout her pregnancy, she appeared to have an adorable baby bump.

Lisa Ling and her husband Dr. Paul Song got married in 2007. While her baby girl is the first child for Lisa and Song, it wasn’t the first time the journalist was pregnant. Lisa suffered a miscarriage in 2010. She spoke on The View after her miscarriage about how she felt like a failure. She added, “When I heard the doctor say there was no heartbeat it was like bam, like a knife through the heart.”

She was scared at the thought of losing another baby, adding, “I felt more like a failure than I’d felt in a very long time.” But thankfully she did not go through it again. Lisa Ling was excited about the birth of her baby girl, saying, “We feel so blessed that this day has arrived. We’re nervously excited to begin this next chapter in our lives with our little Jett.”

Lisa Ling’s baby girl was born two days after Holly Madison gave birth to her girl, Rainbow Aurora.
