Halle Berry ‘So Excited’ About X Men: Days Of Future Past

Halle Berry has confirmed she is a lock for X Men: Days of Future Past.

The Oscar winner will reprise her role as weather Goddess, Storm aka Ororo Munroe in the Brian Singer directed Marvel movie.

Ending months of speculation, Berry spoke to numerous outlets during a Los Angeles press junket on Saturday for upcoming thriller The Call, and shared her big news.

To Access Hollywood, the mother of one said: “I’m in. I think I’m in,” when asked if she was 100 percent certain she was returning in the sixth X Men caper.

To BlackTree TV, the actress added, “Yeah. I’m excited too. The fans really love Storm, and so I’m really happy that it’s worked out that way. No matter what my part will be or won’t be, to be a part of that is always a good thing. I love it.”

Just coming off her last film, Cloud Atlas, naturally, Berry was asked how her multi-character part stacked up to Storm.

“After Cloud Atlas any makeup job is a breeze. A breeze!” the actress quipped back.

It’s been a while since Berry was last seen in the X Men universe. Seven years to be exact, in Brett Ratner’s 2006 X-Men: The Last Stand.

After that Marvel looper-ed back through time with X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) and X-Men: First Class (2011), with The Wolverine (2013) and X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014) still to come.

As the title X Men: Days of Future Past suggests, the time-travel romp will not only reunite Berry with Singer, but will bring back the casts of the original X-Men trilogy and X-Men: First Class.

Confirmed cast members for ‘Future Past include girl of the moment, Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Anna Paquin, Ian Mackellen, Michael Fassbender, Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, Ellen Page, Peter Dinklage, Shawn Ashmore, Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy — and now, Berry.
