San Diego Chargers success lies with role players

Everywhere one looks on the San Diego Chargers they have one of the best men at their positions. They have QB Phillip Rivers, RB LaDainian Tomlinson, TE Antonia Gates, WR Vincent Jackson and LB Shawne Merrimen. However the Chargers success lays with their role players. While other teams scheme to stop the name stars on the Chargers, their role players do the little things that have made this team the team to beat in the AFC. No rolling over like little girls for this squad they come to week 17 riding a 10 game wining streak that should make them the most feared team heading into the NFL Playoffs. Here is a look at some of the Chargers that can a little overlooked:

RB Darren Sproles- Sure they have got to him much recently, but since he has turned 7 touches into 61 yards and three touchdowns, this team will rely on him to spark the offense in the playoffs.

WR Malcolm Floyd- Jackson and Gates are match up nightmares for opposing defenses, but Floyd relies on his own athleticism to continually burn opponents. Mosty because he only has to face single coverage, as teams scheme to take away the other hot Charger receivers.

FB Mike Tolbert- He makes the key block on every running play for Tomlinson and Sproles, he is also the number one dump off option on most plays. IN recent week he has proven that he can get the team the tough rushing yards when they need him too.

WR Legedu Naanee- When the Chargers go to the spread formation on third down, he continually seems to get open

S Eric Weddle- He can be a difference making playmaker, given the right chance, and it seems he is able to put himself into a position to do just that.
