Spice Girls Back Together Again?

Spice Girls reunion talks heated up on Wednesday, February 27, according to a report from UPI.

A source close to Melanie Brown (aka Scary Spice) said on an Australian radio program that the Spice Girls were planning to reunite for a full tour in Australia next year.

Jackie Henderson, one half of the 2DayFM breakfast show Kyle & Jackie O., admitted that “no official announcement has been made,” but said she had “a very reliable source.”

Co-host Kyle Sandilands then speculated the source was Brown on account of the singer’s friendship with Henderson.

The Australian noted that Henderson would not confirm her source, but said it was “a very very good source,” adding that “yes, they’ll be touring next year, here in Australia … including Posh (Victoria Beckham).”

The Spice Girls, consisting of Beckham, Brown, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, and Melanie Chisholm, last performed at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

From 1996 to 2000, the group enjoyed the bulk of their success before going on a seven-year hiatus. While they have not risen back to the level of popularity enjoyed in the 1990s, they continue to capture the enthusiasm of fans.

Most recently, one male fan was even evicted from his home for over-playing the group’s “Viva Forever.”
