Baby pandas are stealing the attention normally afforded to cats on the Internet today with a video of the adorable 4-month-old cubs attempting to walk.

The cubs in the video live at China’s Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding “and between getting cuddles from staff, napping and snacking, they star in videos like this designed to add a little ‘aw’ into our day,” notes MSN.

Published by NBC News on YouTube February 21, the clip has gone pseudo-viral with roughly 25,000 views as of this posting. The full report was aired last Friday.

For the report, NBC reporter Kate Snow made the trip to Chengdu, China, in order to report on the efforts to save the giant panda for Rock Center.

According to STV, pandas have proven to be a huge tourist attraction to the city of Chengdu lately. The city hosts 80 percent of the world’s giant panda population, and attracted over 122 million visitors in 2012, according to data released by the China Tourism Academy.

Thousands of visitors flock to the city each week to get a look at pandas like the ones featured in the clip below.

The Chengdu Culture and Tourism Group recently announced the investment of 220 million yuan into two ecological tourism zones in the province.
