Iron Man 3 has dropped a lot of promotional material over the past few months. Today a new character poster and the latest Empire magazine covers are making the rounds.
The latest character poster features co-star Gwyneth Paltrow holding the destroyed helmet from Tony Stark’s armor. The one-sheet is yet another sign that Iron Man is going to have his work cut out for him director Shane Black’s highly-anticipated sequel.
The poster, which arrived courtesy of the film’s official Facebook page, has been embedded below.
Also released for public consumption is the latest Empire magazine cover featuring Iron Man 3 star Robert Downey Jr. Like Paltrow’s one-sheet, the cover showcases a helmet that has certainly seen better days. Those who pick up the latest issue will be treated to a number of exclusive images from the movie.
The Inquisitr previously covered a new character poster and a teaser image featuring the villain known as The Mandarin. Acclaimed actor Ben Kingsley will tackle the role of the terrorist in the film.
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Robert Downey Jr. said Kingsley may end up stealing the movie when it hits theaters later this year.
The actor explained:
“There are a lot of contenders who may, but right now he’s probably at the top of that list. He came in as, obviously — speaking of training — as such a technically proficient instrument. And then what proceeded to happen was the release of more vintage, old-school Favreau [improv] stuff with a Shane Black twist on it. It was kind of frightening to witness, I’ll tell you that much.”
