Danica McKellar Divorce: ‘Wonder Years’ Star Is Officially Single

Former Wonder Years star Danica McKellar is officially single.

The actress filed for divorce from her husband Mike Verta in June of 2012. However, it’s currently being reported that a judge made everything official earlier this week.

According to TMZ, Danica McKellar cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. The website also reports that the prenuptial agreement signed prior to their union in 2009 is still valid.

Details about the agreement has been sealed. Wet Paint explains that the couple’s custody and support arrangement is included in the document. The actress and the composer have a two-year-old son together.

Although most people know Danica McKellar from her work on the popular 80s television show The Wonder Years, the actress is also something of a mathematical genius. The best-selling author has penned no less than four books on the subject.

According to ABC News, McKellar returned to the world of acting after a bit of a hiatus. Her first gig was a Lifetime original movie entitled Love at the Christmas Table. McKellar explained that she still loves to act. She added that she intended to pursue more projects in the future.

True to her word, Danica McKellar starred in the SyFy original movie Tasmanian Devils, a low-budget horror flick about a group of park rangers who are forced to contend with an ancient menace. Assisting her in this battle is Olympic speed skating champion Apolo Ohno. The gory genre film debuted last January.

The official trailer for Tasmanian Devils has been embedded below.

In addition to her live action work, McKellar has also been involved with a handful of animated productions as well. The actress has provided the voice of M’gann M’orzz on the animated series Young Justice since 2010.
