Survivor Engagement: Reality Stars Whitney Duncan And Keith Tollefson To Marry

A Survivor engagement is in the works as two stars who met and fell in love on the set of the reality show’s South Pacific installment in 2011 have decided to get married.

Whitney Duncan and Keith Tollefson, once competitors for the $1 million prize that comes with winning the CBS reality competition, announced the good news this week.

“I’m going to marry this man,” Duncan wrote on Twitter. She also posted a picture of the engagement ring on her Facebook page.

The Survivor couple got engaged on Valentine’s Day, with Tollefson pointing out the cliche on his Twitter page.

“Thanks to everyone for the best wishes on mine and @whitneyduncan’s engagement,” Tollefson tweeted. “I know real original proposing on Valentines day ha.”

The Survivor engagement comes after a not-quite-normal meeting for the two. While they were tribemates on the show, Duncan led Tollefson and the rest of her castmates to believe she was single, MSN noted. But in reality, she was married to country singer Donny Fallgatter for more than a year, something she kept even from friends and family.

It was actually the budding relationship between Tollefson and Duncan that brought the secret marriage to an end, People reported. After Whitney confessed to her husband that she had feelings for her castmate, she and her husband decided to get divorced. It was finalized in 2011.

As Tollefson and Duncan announced their Survivor engagement, another couple from the show ended their long-term relationship. Ethan Zohn and Jenna Morasca, each of whom won in their respective season, announced this week that they were breaking up after a decade together.
