Marc Webb Hints At Plot Point For ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ Via Twitter

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 director, Marc Webb, has uploaded a picture to his Twitter account which indicates that Peter Parker is on the run from the police in the sequel to the 2012 original.

Webb’s image on the social-networking site shows a pair of FBI agents flashing their badges to the camera and it’s safe to assume that they’re on the hunt for the web-slinger vigilante. Or maybe they are investing the goings on at Oscorp?

The two actors look particularly stern on-set too, so it looks like everyone’s favorite teenage crime fighter will have a tough job on his hands to save lives in New York City.

When Webb tweeted the image he also added the caption, “Day 11 #knockknock.”

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is expected to see Parker struggling to keep his promise to Dennis Leary’s Captain Stacy. Peter had told the police captain that he would keep his daughter, Gwen, away from trouble.

Villains for the sequel will include Jamie Foxx’s Electro and Paul Giamatti’s Rhino, whilst Harry Osborn, who was played by Dane DeHaan in The Amazing Spider-Man, is surely going to look to cause trouble at some point too.

Another addition to The Amazing Spider-Man family includes The Descendant’s Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson. She joins Andrew Garfield as Parker, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacey, Sally Field as Aunt May, whilst Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, and Jeff Pinkner are providing the script to the piece.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is going to hit theatres on May 2, 2014. Are you excited for the return of Peter Parker? Or do you wish Sam Raimi was still in control of the series?
