Columbia University Professor Stripped Down To His Underwear And Played 9/11 Attack Footage

A Columbia University professor stripped down to his underwear in front of the class and then played video footage of the 9/11 attacks. Emlyn Hughes, a quantum physic professor, also played videos of Saddam Hussein, North Korea, and Adolf Hitler after changing clothes in front of his students.

Emlyn Hughes teaches a Frontiers of Science course at Columbia University. The start of the class was running a little late, according to the Bwog, a campus blog. The room was dark until a spotlight was turned on and professor Hughes was featured in the center of the room.

Hughes began undressing and changed into a hoodie and put on sunglasses. After the outfit change, he then reportedly curled up on a chair in a fetal position. Images from the 9/11 attacks, North Korea, and Nazi Germany started shuffling through a projector, The Blaze notes.

The unusual classroom scene then took an equally unique turn – ninjas appeared. The folks dressed up as ninjas smashed the puppets that adorned the stage with a Samurai style sword. Lil Wayne’s “Drop It Like It’s Hot” started blasting from speakers in the background.

An excerpt from Emlyn Hughes’ speech to his students reads:

“In order to learn quantum mechanics, you have to strip to your raw, erase all the garbage from your brain and start over again. Quantum mechanics – nothing you have learned in your life up to now has in any way prepared you for this. Because everything you do in your everyday life it totally opposite of what you are going to learn in quantum mechanics.”

What do you think about the Emlyn Hughes’ approach to teaching at Columbia University?
