Kim Kardashian: Khloe Wasn’t Fired From ‘X Factor’

Kim Kardashian is coming to her little sister’s defense, calling rumors that Khloe was fired from The X Factor “incorrect.”

The middle Kardashian told TMZ, “A lot of people say a lot of incorrect things on the daily” when asked whether the youngest sister would be returning to The X Factor. When asked what actually happened, Kardashian responded, “Probably nothing.”

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Khloe Kardashian reportedly lost her job as a host on the singing competition after the second season ended. A source told The New York Post that the 28-year-old, who had no previous experience on live television, was not asked to come back to the show, but co-host Mario Lopez was. Kardashian had previously said she felt she was improving and had been told by Simon Cowell that she was hired to be herself and not a trained host.

Kardashian’s Halloween debut on the competition was quickly dubbed “awkward,” — although there was some dissent about her first show as a co-host — and subsequent performances also failed to impress viewers. However, Kardashian’s “awkwardness” wasn’t enough to prevent audiences from tuning in, as The X Factor was routinely the top show in its timeslot, only falling out of the top three once in its 28-week run.

Should the rumors of Khloe Kardashian’s firing from the show turn out to be true, she won’t be the only person not returning for the series’ next season. L.A. Reid will be stepping down as a judge in order to focus on his record label, Epic Records. At the moment, it is unknown whether Demi Lovato will be returning as a judge, and it was reported last month that Britney Spears would also not be returning to the judges’ table.
