Fergie Confirms Pregnancy: Nice Misdirect, Josh
Fergie has confirmed her pregnancy on Twitter, just days after her husband Josh Duhamel hushed the gossip mill by denying the rumors that the Black Eyed Peas front gal was expecting.
Both Fergie and Duhamel confirmed news of the star’s pregnancy on Twitter, and a rep for the couple nodded at Just Jared in the affirmative.”Josh & Me & BABY makes three!!! #mylovelybabybump” Fergie tweeted with an image of herself and Duhamel as children. The hashtag is an obvious play on her song “My Humps.”
The rumors of Fergie’s pregnancy got started at the premiere of Duhamel’s Safe Haven. Fergie was wearing a skin-tight Gucci dress, with some outlets spotting what appeared to be a baby bump.
According to E!Online, Duhamel said that becoming a father would be his “greatest life achievement” but clarified that “no,” Fergie is not pregnant.
Fergie herself has batted pregnancy rumors in the past. On the Rachel Row show in 2012, she said:
“[People ask if I’m pregnant] every time I fluctuate a few pounds … Like right now, I’m a couple pounds up. Sometimes I go a couple pounds down and I wear the clothes that are more fitted, but people kind of look at me because they’re expecting [that] it’s that time. We do hope for children and that will be coming up, but it’s not yet.”
