Country Musician Abraham Spear Solicited Sex From Two Minors Via Their Mother

Country musician Abraham Eugene Spear has pled guilty to attempting to solicit sex with two minors, a 7 and 9-year-old pair of sisters. He was arrested and charged with a count of attempted enticement of a minor back in September 20, 2012.

Abraham (Abe) Spear, 30, is known for playing the banjo and steel guitar. He has toured with Twang Bangers, Thompson Square, Joe Nichols, and Eric Church according to his Facebook page.

Using an online alias MUSICMAN30, the Daily Mail reports Abraham initiated contact and attempted to convince the mother of two young daughters to rendezvous with him in Dallas, Texas. Abraham, who requested a photo of the children, was unaware the online communication was actually with an FBI agent.

Amidst a few weeks of correspondence Abraham provided a photo of him scantily clad in underwear, and made sexually inappropriate statements. In one message, he made a $200 offer as payment in exchange for sex with one of the daughters.

Eventually a meeting was arranged with the woman and her children in September. Abraham had traveled to Dallas, Texas for a show at Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar Grill with a Nashville band. The mother and children were set to meet Abraham at Jason’s Deli.

When Abraham arrived, he was arrested by federal agents according to the Dallas News. When faced with authorities, Abraham expressed remorse for his actions. In court records he explained he had no intent of doing anything inappropriate with the girls.

Abraham is scheduled for sentencing on June 7, 2013. He will face a potential 10 year to life in prison penalty along with a $250,000 fine.
