‘Celebrity Wife Swap’ Left Gosselin Kids ‘Scared And Confused’
The Gosselin kids have had about enough jumping through hoops to keep their parents’ reality TV careers going. Kate Gosselin and Kendra Wilkinson’s episode of Celebrity Wife Swap, due February 26, apparently left the Gosselin kids “scared and confused.”
Taped last year, the upcoming ABC special sees Gosselin taking care of Wilkinson’s son, Hank Jr., with the former Playboy bunny’s husband, Hank Baskett. Wilkinson, on the other hand, had to take care of Gosselin’s eight children.
Speaking to Radar Online, Robert Hoffman, author of an “anti-Kate” ebook, said: “the Gosselin children were scared and very confused, having no idea who their new mom-for-a-week was, or why they were left alone with her to be filmed by strangers.”
He added that Gosselin’s eight kids “were instructed not to speak a word about it to anyone at school or anywhere else. I’m not sure how much more psychological damage Kate can do to these poor children, but she sure looks like she’s willing to sink to new depths to get her face back on television.”
Consider the source and the potential for conflicting interest here. Hoffman sounds like he has an axe to grind with Kate going back a while. However, as Wet Paint points out, the Gosselin brood have indeed been through a lot as “veterans of reality TV and divorce drama.”
They opine “If their mom wants to get back on TV, that’s fine, but maybe she should leave the kids with their dad.”
