Sarah Michelle Gellar Joins Pilot With Robin Williams

Robin Williams pilot for CBS just landed a major television name. Sarah Michelle Gellar will be joining the pilot, called The Crazy Ones, as Williams’ daughter.

The single camera comedy, created by David E. Kelley, will focus on Williams and Gellar as they run an advertising agency. Gellar’s character, named Sydney Roberts, was described as “pretty, intense, driven, organized and burdened with being practical” by TV Guide.

The Crazy Ones is full of old school TV veterans. For Williams, it will be his first starring role on the small screen since Mork And Mindy ended in 1982. Gellar, who is best known for Buffy The Vampire Slayer, has appeared in several TV shows since Buffy went off the air. Her last television appearance came last year in the show Ringer.

The Crazy Ones was also by written by veteran screen writer David E. Kelley who created Doogie Howser, Ally McBeal, The Practice, Boston Legal and Harry’s Law.

The new CBS pilot isn’t the only show to boast big name talent this season. Eddie Murphy will also be making his return to TV this year in a new pilot based off the Beverly Hills Cop movies.
