Chris Henry Close To Death, Police Start Homicide Investigation

Despite some suggestion online earlier that Bengals receiverChris Henry is dead following a bizarre car accident, the latest news suggests that he’s not quite dead yet, although police have started a homicide investigation.

Reports claim that Henry is close to death, and may not recover from his injuries, although doctors continue to try and do everything they can to save him. Henry’s agent confirmed the news, saying that “Chris is indeed battling for his life tonight, and our thoughts and prayers (are) with him during this extremely difficult time.”

Whether Chris Henry is dead yet may be be academic: police would appear to believe that Henry won’t make it and have commenced a homicide investigation. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Public Affairs Office said in a statement that homicide detectives are on scene conducting the investigation, and that a crime scene search is on scene as well, photographing the scene and collecting physical evidence.
