A new rumor currently making the rounds suggests Harrison Ford is on-board to portray Han Solo in director J.J. Abrams’ upcoming Star Wars sequel.
Many have wondered if the actor would return to the franchise now that Lucasfilm is committed to bringing Episode VII to the big screen. According to Cinema Blend, Ford is rumored to be ready and willing to step into the iconic role one again.
Although nothing has been confirmed as of this writing, it would appear that Harrison Ford has agreed to participate in the upcoming sequel in some capacity. It’s unclear if this will simply be a cameo or a meatier role. Regardless, news of Ford’s involvement is a pretty big deal.

Harrison Ford previously told Entertainment Weekly that he would be interested in returning to the Star Wars universe only if they killed his character off. Although Ford thought Solo should have died in Return of the Jedi, George Lucas didn’t think there was a market for dead Han Solo toys.
