Justin Timberlake Joins Instagram, Works The Heck Out Of Black And White Theme

Justin Timberlake’s comeback continues with pace. Following his Grammys appearance, a blistering after show, and the reveal of latest single “Mirrors” — the 32-year-old has joined Instagram on the same day pre-orders for his album became available.

Working the “Speakeasy” theme used to such great effect in “Suit & Tie” and the overall rat-pack theme of his return look and artwork, Timberlake posted 22 black and white photos from his Grammy Awards spot and post-event gig.

Close-ups of the Tom Ford suit, bow-tie, and shoes that the singer wore mingle with informal, pensive shots of the 32-year-old sitting backstage, joking with collaborator and producer Timbaland and — of course — onstage.

Also posted are views of the Hollywood Palladium venue where the “Cry Me A River” star and his 16-piece “The Tennessee Kids” big band played for 90 solid minutes after the Grammys, to rave reviews.

ShowBiz 411 reports that the typical Grammys “bump” that benefits most artists has taken Timberlake’s unreleased album The 20/20 Experience” to number one of iTunes on presales alone.

In addition, the Memphis native is at number two and number eight with “Suit & Tie” and “Mirrors” respectively in the iTunes top 10.

Elsewhere, Rolling Stone says multiple sources have told them that Timberlake and Jay-Z — who features on “Suit & Tie” — are planning a major stadium tour this summer that could see the duo take in between 11 to 13 dates.

Sounds like his Instagram account will be filling up pretty soon.

Are you excited about Timberlake’s return to music, and will you be buying his new album The 20/20 Experience?
