‘Harry Potter’ Cruise To Set Sail This November

A cruise centered around the Harry Potter universe is ready to set sail beginning this November.

Nearly 600 people are expected to show up for the inaugural “Wizard Cruise” scheduled for later this year. According to The Telegraph, fans of the boy wizard will spend four magical nights aboard the Golden Princess.

The Harry Potter cruise was spearheaded by the Diagon Alley-inspired Los Angeles shop Whimsic Alley. Founder Stan Goldin said folks will be presented with a plethora of activities during their adventure on the cruise ship.

He explained:

“We fully immerse our campers in the wizard-world experience. For the entire time they’re with us, they become students at a wizarding academy, subject to the challenges and ordeals inherent in that experience.

“We’ve been soliciting ideas from our fans since last year and have tried incorporating as many of their suggestions as possible. We’re proud to be able to offer this trip on the Golden Princess. We consider Princess one of the world’s finest cruise lines.”

Jaunted reports that Harry Potter fans can expect to drop $651 to $1184 per person. This fee reportedly includes entertainment, activities, room, and board.

The website describes the itinerary as follows:

“The ship will set sail from San Pedro, California on Wednesday, November 27, at 4:00 pm and will be at sea all day Thursday, Thanksgiving Day. On Friday, November 29, the ship will be in San Diego from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Saturday, November 30, will be spent in Ensenada, Mexico from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Then, Sunday morning, December 1, the ship returns in Los Angeles at 7:00 am.”

Those who decide to embark on this unique journey can enjoy a wide number of on-board activities. Although passengers are allowed to bring their children, no one under the age of 18 may participate in group events.
