Taylor Swift Plans Quiet Valentine’s Day With Friends After Year Of Big Breakups

Taylor Swift said Valentine’s Day this year will be quiet after some high-profile break-ups.

The singer, who is nominated for three Grammy Awards, said she plans to spent Valentine’s Day with friends. After a year in which she saw two very public relationships blow up — first her romance with Conor Kennedy and then her rebound with One Direction star Harry Styles — Swift is ready for some time away from all of it.

Speaking to Ryan Seacrest, Taylor Swift said Valentine’s Day isn’t a big deal for her, and that even with the heartbreaks she’s been having a great year, omg from Yahoo! noted.

“It’s just hands down been the best year,” Swift said. “It’s been amazing it’s been exciting. I got to make a record that’s different than anything I’ve ever done before…the fact I was able to branch out and everybody is embracing it. It feels like the best year I’ve had so far, it’s been wonderful.”

Taylor Swift has a good group of friends to spend Valentine’s Day with. She has reportedly grown close to Selena Gomez and Emma Stone and said her next single, “22,” is about her big group of friends.

“That was kind of the marker of me being 22 is having all these friends,” Taylor said of her friends. “There are a lot of question marks in your life like where you’re going, who you’re going to meet, but the one thing you have is you have each other.”

Now that she’s (once again) single, Taylor Swift can spend Valentine’s Day thanking those friends. Or if she’s not there, Taylor plans to spend the day “off in a warehouse somewhere” and “working on the lighting rig and the lighting cues” for he next project, E! News noted.
