Tony Danza Divorce Finalized, Six Years After Actor Split From Wife

The Tony Danza divorce saga is finally over. The 62-year-old Taxi and Who’s the Boss? actor is officially single again, more than six years after his original split from second wife, Tracy Robinson.

Though Danza and Tracy (pictured together below in happier times) went their separate ways in 2006, Danza waited until 2011 before filing for divorce after 24 years of marriage. He said the break-up was due to “irreconcilable differences”.

TMZ reports that a judge signed off on the split on Wednesday after the case had languished in divorce court for close to two years.

Danza is father to two grown daughters with Tracy. He also has two other kids from his first marriage to Rhonda Yeoman, who he married in 1970, his first year of college.

Though best known for playing cabbie and part-time boxer Tony Banta in Taxi (1978 – 1983) and single father and housekeeper Tony Micelli in Who’s the Boss? (1984 – 1992), Danza has also dabbled in his own TV talk show, The Tony Danza Show, and starred on Broadway as Max Bialystock in The Producers from December 2006 to March 2007. He returned to the role at the Paris Las Vegas from August 2007 to February 2008.

Also, fun if pointless factoid I picked up while writing this article: Danza was at one point a professional boxer, and a pretty good one! He had a respectable 9-3 record, with all of his fights, wins, and losses ending with a knockout.

He is also not dead.
