Jenners On Runway, Kick Off New York Fashion Week With ‘The Heart Truth’ Event

The Jenners got on the runway to kick off New York Fashion Week, donning red dresses to promote a good cause.

Kris Jenner and her daughters Kendall and Kylie were among celebrities who wore designer dresses and towering heels to draw attention to heart disease, The Associated Press noted. They were in attendance for The Heart Truth runway show, joining others like Minka Kelly, Toni Braxton, and gymnast Gabrielle Douglas.

The Red Dress even started in 2001 to kick off the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute’s campaign to reach out to women. The Jenners on the runway mark somewhat of a tradition, as Hollywood’s leading women have been attracted to the cause in the last 12 years — including big sister Kim Kardashian.

While their reality star Kardashian sisters have taken to television, people following the family should get used to seeing the younger Jenners on the runway. Both Kendall and Kylie have taken on more modeling projects as they get older, cementing their status as more than just famous sisters to the Kardashians.

Kendall, who turned 17 this year, is also moving out into other projects, The Huffington Post noted. Like her older Kardashian sisters, Kendall has her hand in a number of entrepreneurial endeavors including work as a contributor to Seventeen magazine and writing a science fiction novel for teens.

Kendall is also leading the Jenners on the runway, traveling around the world to take part in fashion shows and setting the stage for her younger sister to join her one day.
